North Shields-based Worldbeaters Music will travel to Asia’s World City to perform their show Spark! in the annual Hong Kong International Chinese New Year Night Parade on February 8.

Spark! will make its debut performance in Hong Kong and features a show that consists of high-impact drummers performing dynamic choreography while dressed in LED lit costumes.

More than 150,000 visitors are expected to watch the night parade to celebrate the Year of the Monkey.

Spark! has created a magical mixture of live music and movement.

Chris Maines-Beasley, Spark! co-director, said: “It is an amazing opportunity to travel to Hong Kong to take part in the Chinese New Night Parade, we look forward to being part of this special occasion and to perform alongside the other international acts.”

The parade, the first evening of the Year of the Monkey, will cover the iconic sight of Tsim Sha Tsui, starting at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza and ending outside the Sheraton Hong Kong hotel.

Spark! alongside a variety of international and local performance groups will dazzle spectators as they light up the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui to celebrate of the Chinese New Year.
