Half term family fun proves a hit

Delighted children were treated to a day of fun during their half-term holidays.

The Family Hub is hosting two days of family activities at the Beacon Centre in North Shields.

The busy first day saw children and parents take part in soft play, provided by Soft Play Mania, which featured a ball pool, soft shapes, slides, ride-ons and more.

A number of local businesses also provided taster stalls while there were face painters plus visits fom Mickey Mouse, Peppa Pig, princesses from Frozen and more.

A second fun day is set to take place on Thursday at the centre, from 10am to 3pm.

A spokesperson for The Family Hub said: “The first day was amazing.

“It was very, very busy and a fantastic positive vibe.
