Have your say on local issues

The council says newly installed systems will make it easier for residents to have their say on important issues.

North Tyneside Council has introduced ‘Community Conversation Corners’ to the four community first centres.

Residents can have their say on a range of topics and give their views on what the council is doing.

There are comment boxes with postcards for residents to complete; and residents can opt to receive a personal response to their question or comment.

Coun Carole Burdis, cabinet member for community engagement, said: “We want to make it easy for residents to find out what is going on in their local area and also to have their say about what is important to them.”

The boxes are inside the customer first centres at Wallsend, Whitley Bay, North Shields and the White Swan Centre in Killingworth.
