HEALTH: Pharmacy not helpful

I'm writing regarding the article about not going to A&E, (News Guardian, February 22).

My husband and I went to the chemist for help due to his sore ear. We were told to go to a walk-in centre.

The pharmacist just wasn’t helpful at all. He didn’t act like he had ”a wealth of knowledge”, as you quoted. He didn’t even know which walk-in centre to direct us to, or the opening times. It was ridiculous.

It seemed like it was such a chore to help us and that we were not welcome. It was very off-putting.
