Helping entrepreneurs set up their own business

Potential business owners are being invited to an event to help give them more help and advice in starting up their own company.

North Tyneside Council’s Business Factory is hold a free event bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs, established businesses, inventors and support organisations.

The ‘Celebration of Innovation’ event on Thursday, April 10, will be packed with ideas, advice and success stories to show how to make the step from initial idea to business.

Coun Frank Lott, cabinet member for economic development, said: “Here in North Tyneside we offer tailored support to help anyone with a business idea transform that into a reality.

“Our Business Factory advisers have helped over 650 new businesses start up over the last two years; and we hope many more will take their first steps to becoming a reality at this event.”

Guest speakers will include Mike Addison, business support manager from Newcastle Science City and former R&D manager at Procter and Gamble; and Cameron Ross, north east team leader from Manufacturing Advisory Service.

Lunch and refreshments are provided.

The event runs from 10am to 3pm at the North Tyneside Business Centre on Saville Street, North Shields.
