Residents and staff at a care home recently took part in an annual sporting event.
Earsdon Grange Care Home, in Wellfield, Whitley Bay, held its annual summer sports day earlier this month.
The event was a real family affair with games for both adults and children so that relatives both young and old could also take part.
Members of the local community were also invited along to help cheer on the eager contestants.
Visitors enjoyed a whole host of sports day favourites including adult’s and children’s sack races, egg and spoon race, three metre dash, three-legged race and toss the welly competition.
Krissy Grant, activities co-ordinator at Earsdon Grange, said: “It was brilliant to see the residents and families enjoying themselves at our sports day, and we were thrilled that members of the community got involved too.”
