The event will take place on North Shields Fish Quay on Sunday, from 11am to 3pm.

The day includes lifeboats in action, music, stalls, attractions, children’s rides, burgers, hot dogs, and Kippers in a Bun. Plus there will also be a motorcycle rally and exhibition in the nearby Low Lights car park, organised by the Quay Motorcycle Club.

David Stenhouse, Tynemouth RNLI Lifeboat operations manager, said: “Lifeboat Day is a fantastic opportunity for members of the public to come and find out what their local RNLI station does, see the volunteer crew members in action, and have some fun at the same time as helping to raise funds for our charity.

“This is the 11th motorcycle rally and we’re grateful for the long-term support.”
