HOUSE prices have recorded their biggest ‘spring bounce’ in eight years, new figures show.
The typical asking price rose to £236,939 in March, up 4.9 per cent in the first three months of this year and the largest first quarter increase since 2004, according to Rightmove.
All ten regions of England and Wales recorded rises in March, with an average increase of 1.6 per cent – the biggest monthly rise in the third month of the year since 2004.
However, year-on-year, the midlands, Wales and the north west have seen prices dip.
The west midlands recorded an annual fall of 2.9 per cent, taking average prices down to £181,925.
