Police are hoping to return a host of property, which is believed to have been stolen and includes jewellery and tools, to its owners.

During an investigation into burglaries in North and South Shields in 2014, officers seized a range of items that were believed to have been stolen by burglars.

The investigation led to two men being convicted and jailed for burglary offences and some seized property was recovered and returned to victims.

However, a number of items remain unaccounted for and now officers are appealing for help to try to get it back to their owners.

Anyone who thinks the property might be theirs, or who has any information about any of the items, is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 for the attention of PC 794 Zawodzinki.
