Quorum Jobs Fair attracted almost 1,000 visitors keen to find out about options for the next stage of their careers and employment opportunities at Quorum Business Park, in Longbenton.

Employers from a wide range of industries were on hand to speak to those looking for work about the various roles, from entry-level to senior positions, as well as apprenticeships and training opportunities.

Organised by North Tyneside Council in partnership with Quorum Business Park, the main sponsors for the event were NCFE, Swiftpage and Convergys with the majority of the 25 employers at Quorum being represented.

Elected Mayor Norma Redfearn, who opened the event, said: “It was fantastic to see such a huge turnout for the jobs fair.

“We’ve had some amazing feedback and everyone who attended found it really beneficial.

“It really shows what a thriving jobs economy we have here in North Tyneside that we can host these careers fairs and so many different businesses come along with such an array of opportunities for residents.”

Fergus Trim, director at Quorum, said: “We have seen employment levels at Quorum grow steadily, with businesses across a range of sectors in expansion mode.

“It is great that we can attract the skilled workforce to help these companies to continue to grow and invest here.”

Quorum is one of the UK’s leading business parks.

Onsite facilities include the Kids 1st Nursery, Pure Gym, Greggs and the [email protected], alongside sporting facilities such as tennis courts, a seven-a-side football pitch and table tennis tables.
