Children have been enjoying a diverse week as they learned more about the world.
Pupils at St Cuthbert’s RC Primary School, in North Shields, took part in a special Diversity Week.
Lesson time was taken over by a vast range of activities based on diversity and equality.
They learned about difference in languages, religions, beliefs, cultural transitions, age, disability, liturgical dance, Djembe drums, African art and praise poetry.
Kerry Cottiss, assistant headteacher, said: “The children will know and understand that the fantastic thing about diversity is that it makes our world an interesting place to be, full of interesting people.”
