Shoppers will be serenaded by romantic music and giveaways at two shopping centres for Valentine’s Day.
Musician Jake Houlsby will be performing at the Beacon shopping centre in North Shields while Sam Wright will be at Wallsend’s The Forum, courtesy of local events company Need Music Ltd.
The musicians will perform while free goodies will be handed out on Saturday, February 13, between 11am and 1pm at The Beacon, and 2pm to 4pm at The Forum.
In addition, the Forum will be playing host to a Valentine’s Day pop up photo booth competition. The shopper with the best selfie posted using #loveattheforum will win a £50 restaurant voucher.
Nick Lambert, centre manager at The Forum, said: “Valentine’s day is a fun excuse for us to bring the local community together to listen to some of the best love songs, performed by local talent.”
Dave Menzies, centre manager at The Beacon, added: “This is yet another opportunity for us to make our shoppers feel special.”
“We have a great range of gifts on offer at some of our stores, including The Works and Boots, ranging from chocolates and roses, to cards and accessories - giving our customers plenty of options to choose from.”
