Man attacked by two youths during street robbery

A man was attacked and cut during a street robbery.

The 29-year-old victim was walking in Cobalt Business Park, near the cut behind the NHS building.

He was approached by two male youths who threatened him and attempted to steal his mobile phone and bag.

There was a struggle and the victim was assaulted and cut, with what is believed to be a knife, to his arm suffering minor injuries.

The offenders then made off empty handed going towards West Allotment.

Those responsible are described as both aged approximately 17-years-old, both wearing caps, dark coloured tracksuits and were wearing trainers.

Officers have been carrying out enquires in the area.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened on Monday between 12.10pm and 12.15pm.
