Martha and the Vandellas set for Mouth of Tyne Festival

The line-up has been revealed for the Mouth of the Tyne Festival’s Sunday afternoon concert.

Motown stars Martha Reeves and the Vandellas will top the bill on July 12,and will be joined by 1980s chart regulars The Christians and acid jazz group James Taylor Quartet.

Also on the bill are Ben Ottewell, from the indie rock band Gomez; north east new-folk rock band Kosoti and Olivia Devine, a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Whitley Bay.

Italian English singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti will take to the stage at the Playhouse on Friday, July 10, while rising stars Lisbon, from Whitley Bay, whose song Blue Love was recently added to the playlist on BBC Radio 1, will play on Thursday, July 9.
