CULLERCOATS Men’s Club has raised money for a charity after seeing its work first-hand.
Club member Harvey Morris has been affected by MS for several years but was on hand to present a cheque for £113.65 to the North Tyneside branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Branch treasurer Jim McAndrew was on hand to receive the cheque from Harvey and his friend Allen Murray after giving a talk on the debilitating neurological condition.
The disease can have a massive impact upon those who are diagnosed with the condition. Immediate family members are also greatly affected as they become carers to their loved ones.
The club chose the society as its charity of the year. For details on the club visit www.cullercoatsmensclub.org.uk
