Mercury Prize nominee joins festival line-up

Another act has been added to the Mouth of the Tyne Festival line-up.

Manchester rock band I Am Kloot will be special guests for the Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott concert.

The Mercury Prize nominees have seven studio albums to their name since forming in 1999 and have a new live release scheduled for April.

The band will be special guests of former Beautiful South duo Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott at their show on Friday, July 10, at Tynemouth Priory and Castle.

A range of festival shows are already on sale, including The Specials with very special guest Roots Manuva playing at Tynemouth Priory and Castle on Saturday 11 July.

The popular Sunday Afternoon in the Priory concert will see Motown favourites Martha Reeves and the Vandellas take to the stage.

And special one-off shows will also take place at Playhouse Whitley Bay, featuring Jack Savoretti and Lisbon.

The Mouth of the Tyne Festival is organised by North Tyneside Council and supported by Tyne Met College, Kier and Port of Tyne.
