Mermaids to be guests at aquarium
Two mermaids will be part of a meet and greet at a visitor attraction.
The Little Mermaid and The Snow Queen will be at Tynemouth’s Blue Reef Aquarium from 12.30pm to 2.30pm between Monday, May 30, and Sunday, June 5.
Youngsters will have the chance to find out all about the magical world beneath the waves while there will also be storytelling, face-painting, glitter tattoos, a dressing-up box and plenty of amazing photo opportunities.
Blue Reef Aquarium’s Rosie Wiggin said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be hosting two real life mermaids here at the aquarium and we are expecting them to cause a lot of excitement.
“Having the chance to come face-to-face with these mythical creatures will be a magical experience.”
“It will be fascinating to see whether the other sea creatures interact with them and, for our visitors, it will be a one-off opportunity.
“As well as revealing the mythical stories of the deep during meet and greet sessions visitors will also be able to have their pictures taken with them.”
