A dad from North Tyneside has taken on a charity trip across the Himalayas to raise money for charity.
Shaun Wilson has just returned from his trek across Nepal to celebrate his 50th birthday – and raise money for Epilepsy Action.
“I wanted to do something different for my 50th birthday and have always wanted to ride a motorcross bike,” he said.
“My wife Helen only agreed to the idea if I raised money for charity along the way, so I decided to support Epilepsy Action as our daughte Emily was diagnosed with epilepsy two years ago.
“It was an amazing trip, the people of Nepal have such hardship to endure after the earthquake in April.”
“Maybe I will go back in a few years for another trip, if Helen agrees of course,” he added.
Shaun has so far raised almost £1,000 for the charity.
