James Lowery has been appointed as group estimating manager for Advanced Industrial Solutions in North Shields.

James Lowery, 30, of North Shields, has been appointed as group estimating manager for the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate company, and he will be responsible for identifying and bidding for multi-million-pound deals.

The engineering graduate joins AIS from Nottinghamshire-based Kaefer.

He said: “I knew about Advanced Industrial Solutions from my previous role as many of the major operators specify the company’s products, so when this opportunity to join the company came up, I jumped at it.

“AIS is one of only a handful of companies across the globe to produce highly technical products of this nature, and it has won a string of awards for its work, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.”

“I’m really looking forward to helping the company build on its excellent reputation for developing cost-effective, innovative new products, as well as promoting its full turn-key solutions globally.”

Chris Evans, head of the technical division at AIS, said: “James is a great asset who undoubtedly adds to our tendering capabilities across the group.

“This will allow us to bid for an increased number of large global contracts.

“We are very pleased that he has decided to join us, and we believe our customers will benefit from his input.”
