A NEW supermarket will mark its official opening with a donation to a local charity.
The doors to the new Tesco Express on Cobalt Business Park will open for the first time at 8am on Monday, November 26.
And a representative from the North Tyneside Disability Forum will be the guest of honour, cutting a ribbon to declare the store officially open at 10.30am.
Store manager Andy Mears and his team will present a cheque for £500 as part of the store’s commitment to supporting the local community.
North Tyneside Disability Forum has been working with disabled people, their representatives and families in the borough for more than 25 years, providing a range of activities, events, services and resources to help users build skills, gain confidence and realise their potential.
Andy said: “We are delighted to be able to support the North Tyneside Disability Forum, as the volunteers do such wonderful work within the local community.
“We are really pleased that they are coming to launch the new store and join in the celebrations with us.”
