Children and young people in North Tyneside – and further afield – are being encouraged to sign up to Zeadlines, the new news site written by children, for children.

The website is the brainchild of seven-year-old Ethan Lee-Duffy, from Tynemouth, and will feature stories, articles, poetry, drawings and videos all produced by youngsters aged from seven to 14.

The site is now on the lookout for young reporters to get involved and get their work published on the website, with prize incentives available every month.

Editor Tegan Chapman said: “Zeadlines offers the perfect opportunity for young people to get creative.

“Be it writing, drawing, photography, it can be any medium they like.

“We’re looking for young reporters to get involved, be part of an exciting new venture, and see their work shared to a worldwide audience.”

Schools who would like to get involved in the project can email [email protected] for details.
