Nexus is holding its biggest ever survey to gather people's views on public transport.

Nexus, the body which delivers public transport services, is contacting 200,000 households with its big survey.

The feedback will help officials with the planning and development of the transport services it delivers on behalf of the North East Combined Authority.

The survey, which takes around ten minutes to complete, comprises 45 questions which analyse how and why people choose certain modes of travel.

Anyone who completes it could win £100.

It can be filled in online at Meikle, transport strategy director at Nexus, said: “We welcome this opportunity to capture the views of people who use all different modes of travel around Tyne and Wear.

“Our mission is to plan public transport services for the future, which will support and improve the north east’s environment, economy and communities – the feedback from this survey will help us to do this.

“This is a great chance for us to hear from people who choose not to use public transport because their views are just as important as those of the people who do use bus and Metro services as we plan for the years ahead.”
