And now she has been honoured with a national Primary Science Teacher Award and will become a Fellow of the Primary Science Teaching Trust (PSTT) in September.

The award recognises and celebrates the achievements and potential of outstanding primary science teachers from across the UK.

The PSTT is investing £500,000 per year to allow science teachers to develop new projects; undertake professional development; and disseminate best practice both from their own teaching and from Trust funded work.

Hannah said: “I am delighted to receive such a prestigious award. I am very excited to continue to develop primary science in the North East with support from the PSTT.

“I aim to provide the children that I teach with inspiring opportunities and hope to have a positive impact on science teaching and learning in North Tyneside.”
