A young beauty queen is aiming to crack America after winning her latest UK Title.

Harriotte Lane, from West Allotment, won the Miss Teen Galaxy England award after being named the Tyne and Wear winner.

She won seven out of nine awards, including charity and best in interview.

The 17-year-old will now join the other nine title holders to compete in the international finals in Orlando, Florida, for the global titles.

Harriotte will head out to America on July 9, and is already working on designing her gowns for the awards.

Closer to home, she is aiming to break her £50,000 fund-raising target after raising more than £43,000 for local charities.

Harriotte is looking for sponsors to help her compete in America.
