Wallsend’s Tyne Metropolitan College is helping US-based call centre firm Sitel create a training programme for its employees in the north east.
Sitel employs thousands of people all over the world, including more than 600 at its North Tyneside site, at Benton’s Balliol Business Park, and it is now putting together a new leadership and management course for them.
TyneMet business development executive Andrea Condra said: “This is a unique and exciting training opportunity for us, bringing a boost to the region’s higher-level skills base.
“The college is delighted to have been chosen as the provider for the level-five leadership and management training programme, which has been developed in line with Sitel’s company ethos.
“This aims to bring value to both the employer and its employees.”
