FOLLOWING their cup exploits, Whitley Bay return to Ebac Northern League action this weekend when they face Norton & Stockton Ancients twice in the space of four days.
On Saturday they travel to Teesside with happy memories of the League Cup tie at Norton in September when they enjoyed a goal feast.
Their 8-1 victory was their biggest win for some time.
Norton are having a difficult season near the foot of the table but will be determined to put on a better performance this weekend.
Whitley will welcome back defender Chris Reid who has been working in India for the past three weeks, and for just about the first time this season Ian Chandler should be able to select from a full squad.
In a re-arranged fixture, the sides will meet again, this time at Hillheads, on Tuesday, December 18.
If Whitley can pick up maximum points from these games, they will stay well in contention for third place in the table behind runaway leaders Darlington and Spennymoor.
