Nursery shortlisted for potential support

A nursery is appealing for support after being shortlisted for a potential funding boost.

Whitley Lodge Under Fives, based in Whitley Bay, is one of three nominated charities shortlisted by Sainsbury’s Monkseaton, in Newstead Drive.

And if they are successfully chosen, they could receive a year’s worth of funding and awareness raising by the store.

The winning charity is selected by vote in store this week or by voting online at www.sainsburyslocalcharity.co.uk

Whitley Lodge Under Fives is a sessional pre-school that meets daily and incorporates a Toddler group, which meets on two afternoons per week.

It is a not for profit organisation devoted to providing pre-school education to children aged two and three within the Whitley Bay area.
