A borough business park is in the running for a prestigious national award for its sustainability achievements.
Quorum Business Park, in Longbenton, has been shortlisted among ten other global brands – including M&S, Virgin Media and Barclays – in the ‘corporate citizenship’ category at the National Business Awards.
Staff members from Quorum travelled to London to present to the judging panel their sustainability strategy and travel plan.
Projects include a £60,000 Quorum shuttle bus service, wildlife group, health and wellbeing programme and members-only Q-card.
Fergus Trim, development director at Quorum Business Park, said: “We are a small team but we have achieved a lot and we couldn’t be prouder to have our sustainability strategy and travel plan shortlisted for such a widely recognised national award.”
The awards will be held at Grosvenor House, London, on November 12.
