The Linskill Centre, in North Shields, is holding its annual summer fair.

The Linskill Centre, in North Shields, is holding its Summer Fun Day on Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

The free-entry event will feature a range of family activities as well as a barbecue in the main garden area and Pimms bar serving cocktails and mocktails.

There will be children’s outdoor rides and displays from local organisations in the car park, while indoors Trevelyan Hall will become a children’s play zone featuring party games, disco, balloon modelling, bungee basketball, target practice and a penalty shoot-out area.

Smaller children, aged five and under, will have their own play zone featuring abouncy castle and soft play.

A free children’s magic show at 2pm will bring the summer event to a close.

Simeon Ripley, chief executive of the Linskill and North Tyneside Community Development Trust, said: “Our Summer Fun Day is all about bringing our community together by providing an event for families and friends to get together and enjoy social time with their children.

“Our thanks to Bluebird Care for their support for the Summer Fun Day and all proceeds raised are reinvested into the centre and its community activities.

“Fingers crossed for a good weather and hope to see you at Linskill for our Summer Fun Day.”
