Unusual reading place for World Book Day
Youngsters at a North Tyneside school have come up with a way to encourage more reading.
Kings Priory School, in Tynemouth, decided to mark World Book Day with a different challenge – encouraging pupils to find an unusual location to read their favourite book.
And student Lloyd Graham certainly did that, using the Fiddler’s Green Fishermen’s Memorial on North Shields Fish Quay as the backdrop to his reading challenge, sitting on the fisherman’s knee to read his book.
World Book Day takes place on March 4.
