Young performers are preparing to take their latest production out into communities.
Members of the Gillian Quinn School of Theatre Dance attracted congratulations and acclaim – some as far afield as London – for their production of ‘La Fille Mal Gardee’ at the Playhouse Whitley Bay.
The young dancers will perform for charities, taking place in residential homes and at Delaval Hall for the National Trust on May 17 and August 9.
Three groups of senior students will be taking part in the National Choreographic Competions in May and June.
A group spokesperson said: “We would like to thank the theatre staff and many wellwishers for the support they have given us.
“It is very important for the young people of this area to feel that when they strive for excellence it is recognised and appreciated.”
