The Pied Piper is being brought to the Playhouse, Whitley Bay, by ABD productions from Thursday until Saturday.

And North Tyneside Disability Forum will be collecting donations at the end of each of the shows that takes place.

The performance, a new play written by Anne Dalton, stars a professional cast who will be joined by astoundingly talented children from the local area.

The production is enhanced by Anne Dalton’s superb score, book and lyrics and it is enriched by the dazzling set and costumes.

It tells the tale of the town of Hamelin and the invasion of rats led by Marshall Moulder, who has a sidekick, Corporal Canker, and their devilish plans, which nearly bring ruin to thetown. However, as in the traditional tale they are thwarted by Peter, The Pied Piper. However, for the citizens of Hamelin this comes at a terrible price.

Tickets for the show, which takes place at 1.30pm and 6.30pm each day are still available. Book online at www.playhousewhitleybay.co.uk or call the hotline on 0844 248 1588 between 10am and 4pm.
