Places still available at playschemes in the borough

SPACES are still available on a summer playscheme initiative.

North Tyneside Council’s playschemes are offering activities throughout the summer holidays for children aged between eight and 13.

Fun on offer includes arts and crafts, sports and team games and face painting.

Children can also take part in trips to local attractions, all for £1 per day.

Playschemes run from 10am to 3pm with a supervised lunch break between noon and 1pm.

Lunch is not provided but children can bring a packed lunch.

There is also an open access policy, meaning children are free to come and go as they please.

Children under the age of eight are welcome if accompanied by someone aged 16 or over.

A parent or carer must complete a consent form on the first day a child attends.

The schemes are running in a number of areas across the borough.
