A THEATRE was left red faced after a spelling error in a pantomime programme.

The Playhouse Whitley Bay is now being forced to recall the programmes for their Aladdin show, after designers missed the letter T off Paul Harris’ character Widow Twankey.

The mistake at the Whitley Bay Playhouse in North Tyneside was blamed on human error and has been corrected, and the programme has been withdrawn.

Widow Twankey is being played by BBC radio presenter Paul Harris in the Playhouse’s production of Aladdin, which is running until January 2.
