Police holding sessions to meet residents

RESIDENTS in Wallsend are being invited to meet officers from their local neighbourhood policing team.

Northumbria Police is holding informal drop-in sessions and estate walkabouts throughout March in the Wallsend area.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Phil McConville said: “These events are aimed at local residents and we hope people will take up the opportunity to talk to officers about policing issues in their community.”

Sessions take place on:

n Wednesday, March 16; from 2.30pm to 4pm at Wallsend Town Hall, High Street East;

n Friday, March 18; 10am to 11am at Wallsend Library;

• Thursday, March 24; 7pm to 8pm at Howdon Park House;

n Tuesday, March 29; 6pm to 7pm at Battle Hill Library.

The estate walkabouts are:

n Tuesday, March 8; from 10am starting at St Hilda’s Avenue, Holy Cross;

n Wednesday, March 9; 10am starting at Bowness Terrace, Howdon;

n Tuesday, March 22; 10am starting at the corner of Denbigh Avenue and Windsor Drive, Howdon;

n Wednesday, March 23; 10am starting at the junction of Cross Avenue and Strawberry Gardens, Wallsend.
