Police issue appeal after Silverlink collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in North Tyneside.

At around 3.14pm on Wednesday, July 11, police received a report of a one vehicle collision involving a motorcycle at the McDonalds car park in Silverlink retail park.

Emergency services attended and the driver – an 26-year-old man – was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Inquiries are ongoing and anyone who saw what happened is being asked to contact police.

Any witnesses, particularly those who might have dash cam footage, are asked to call 101 quoting log 675 11/07/18.
