Tina Stobbs has received a prestigious Qualified Status award.

A Whitley Bay resident has qualified as the first North East newborn and baby photographer within The Guild of Photographers.

The Qualified Status award is only presented to those who achieve a recognised standard and a total of 21 photos are assessed by a panel of five judges.

Originally from New Zealand, Tina Stobbs moved to North Tyneside 18 years ago where she now lives with her engineer husband Graham and children Zack, seven, and Casey, eight.

Leaving HR to follow her passion for photography, she started Captured Forever in 2013 and she decided to focus her business on newborn photography a year later.

She said: “I feel very privileged to capture these precious moments for families to cherish and I am delighted to receive the Guild Qualified Status after a year consistently re-assessing the business, undertaking training, designing the shoot set ups and buying a lot of props.

“I offer an extensive range of themes – from seasonal to superheroes – and incorporate personal keepsakes too, so every shoot is different and unique to the family.”
