Purse is stolen from pushchair

A purse containing cash and cards was stolen from a pushchair.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft, which happened between 11am and 11.15am on Sunday, August 30, in Northumberland Square, North Shields.

The owner left the purse, a black Radley wallet type purse with a pink dog logo on the front, on top of the pushchair and then later found it was missing.

Anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything is asked to contact police.
