A campaigner from North Tyneside is raising awareness of a deadly disease that took her husband.
Angela Gray, from North Shields, lost her husband to the lung disease idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
Robert Gray was diagnosed in 2012 and passed away in April 2014.
Angela is joining many others around the country in calling for more research and support for IPF patients and their families, and showing how they care about IPF for this year’s IPF Week.
She said: “IPF Week is really important in highlighting the desperate need for more support for people with IPF and their families.
“When Robert was diagnosed we had no idea what to expect. That’s why I will do whatever I can to help raise awareness of this awful disease to help the UK move forward in providing better services and support for people with IPF so that other families won’t have to go through the same thing we did.”
