Discount high street retailer, B&M, has claimed to be selling the country’s cheapest Valentine’s Day dinner deal ever for just £3.88.

The three course dinner deal (including sides) is described as “proper good food” and consists of a traditional prawn starter, Chinese inspired main course with a side of prawn crackers and strawberry trifle for dessert.

The actual menu might not include any gourmet steak dinners but does include some British classics with the three courses including Skips crisps, Uncle Ben’s sweet and sour sauce ready made meal, Blue Dragon prawn crackers and Bird’s strawberry trifle.

B&M says it’s the least pompous dine in deal on the high street.

A spokesperson for B&M said: “This isn’t any old ‘dine in deal’, this is a B&M dine in deal! No fuss or faffing about just proper good food for you and your lover.”

The £3.88 Valentine’s ‘Dine in Deal’ comes after high street rival, Co-op, claimed to have launched the cheapest Valentine’s meal deal in the country, which includes a main and two sides (or one side and one dessert) for £6.00.

B&M’s Valentine’s ‘Dine in Deal’ is available in store now.
