A NEW snooker club is on cue and ready to open this week.
Top coach Paul Rinaldi has spent the last three months refurbishing the premises of the first floor of the former Co-op store on the junction of Marden Road South and Whitley Road in Whitley Bay.
He is hoping to turn Whitley Bay Snooker Centre into a top academy for young players, with tournaments and events, while encouraging more people to take up the sport.
Paul will be welcoming the first players when he opens the doors at 11am on Friday. The club will be open seven days a week, from 11am to midnight.
The club features two world championship tables, six other tables and three pool tables.
Some of the sports top stars are also lined up for visits, with Dennis Taylor involved in a Christmas party on December 22.
