Three brothers are ensuring Santa Claus comes early to North Tyneside.
Matthew, James and Olly Hayes, from Whitley Bay, are helping organise a festive fun run to raise funds for the RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) and are urging families to join them.
The Santa Run will take place at The Rising Sun Country Park, Benton, at 11am on Sunday, December 6.
Runners – dressed as Santa – are invited to run, jog, or walk the 3km route. Santa suits are provided.
Matthew, 13, said: “It’s hilarious seeing everyone dressed as Santa and it’s for a great cause too. As the route is only 3k long, it’s suitable for everyone, and there’s Christmas chocolate for finishers.
“Last year’s race was brilliant fun and we’re expecting this year to be even bigger and better.”
Registration is £10 for adults, £5 for children under 16.

There are nearly seven thousand people living with sight loss in North Tyneside alone. Proceeds from the Santa Run will help RNIB provide practical and emotional support to local people affected by sight loss.
