Fright nights at an historical coastal attraction are returning after two sell-out years.
Tickets are on sale for ‘Scary Tales at Tynemouth Priory’ – a series of hour-long theatrical tours where guides lead people in the darkness, stopping at various points for spooky storytelling.
The event, staged by North Tyneside Council and Little Cat Theatre Company, takes place between October 25, and October 31, with tours at 5.30pm, 7.30pm and 9pm – although there are no tours on Monday, October 28.
Coun Eddie Darke, cabinet member for leisure, culture and tourism, said: “Visitors come to the borough all year round and special Hallowe’en events like this attract people from far and wide, even on the darkest of nights.
“These story tours certainly offer a very different visitor experience.”
Interest in the tours is expected to be as high as ever and early booking is recommended.
Tours are limited to 25 people and are not suitable for children under the age of 8.
Tickets cost £10 per person and are available by calling (0191) 643 7409 between 9am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
