School is all set for its summer fair

A school is preparing to hold its annual fundraising summer fair.

Woodlawn School, in West Monkseaton, is hosting the event on Saturday from noon to 3pm.

Entertainment for the younger audience will be provided by Hopscotch Entertainment and True Colours Theatre.

Stalls will include tombolas, a silent auction, raffle, toys, jewellery and more.

There will be games, food and refreshments

Woodlawn is a school for children aged two to 19 with physical, medical and sensory needs.

Headteacher Gill Wilson said: “It would be fabulous to see as many people as possible from the wider community at our summer fair at what will be a fun-filled afternoon.”

“Many thanks to our many supporters for the generous donations we have received for the Fair.”

Woodlawn Parents & Friends Association are grateful to all the businesses who are supporting the Fair with vouchers and donations.

Gifts and prizes have been given by The Aloe Vera Natural Health Centre, Alnwick Gardens, Bay Sweets, Beamish Museum, Blueberry Square, Cherished, Children of the Revolution, Cornflower Blue, Dixons Butchers, G Ewen Family Butcher, Fizzywigs, Fleurt, Greetings, Greggs, Halfords, Honeycomb Deli, Hotpots, the Milkhope Centre, Monkseaton Arms, Monkseaton Computers, Monkseaton Garage, Razzberry Bazare, Robinson’s Optometrists, Scentiments, Selby & Eke barbers, Smyths, Star Bowl, Transform Your Image,Thorntons,Tracey Sturrock Chiropodist, Washington Wildlife Centre and 129 café.
