A North Tyneside resident is sitting on an unclaimed £1m lottery ticket.
An appeal has been launched to find the winner of the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker who bought their ticket in the borough.
We’d be delighted to welcome another member to the Tyneside lottery millionaire clubFred and Doreen Smith
Former lottery winners from the region joined forces to appeal for people to check their tickets for the draw on Friday, March 13.
Fred and Doreen Smith, who won a £2.4m Lotto jackpot in July 2011, and Lynne Pittiglio who pocketed a £180k Lotto 5+bonus prize in September 2013, lent their support to the cause.
The all-important winning code on March 13, 2015, was FPY442445 and the lucky ticket-holder has until Wednesday, September 9, to claim their prize.
Fred and Doreen Smith, from Washington in Tyne and Wear, said: “We’d be delighted to welcome another member to the Tyneside lottery millionaire club, so it’s all hands on deck to find this mystery ticket-holder and help unite them with their winnings.
“It’s an amazing prize, which could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.”
Lynne, a 57-year old slimming consultant, also from Washington added: “It’s very exciting to think that someone from the area is potentially sitting on £1m without realising it.
“I remember the amazing feeling when I found out that I had won. Hopefully, we can help raise awareness of the unclaimed prize and do what we can to help someone else experience that amazing feeling too.”
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
