SEARCH: Trying to contact a long-lost relative

I am trying to find a dear cousin who I have lost touch with.

Thursday, 31st March 2016, 3:00 pm

Her name was Pauline Parkinson and she lived in Monkseaton with her parents, John and Rita, until she married and moved to Surbiton in Surrey.

At some stage she returned to the north east.

Pauline had an older sister, Rita, and younger brother, John, and we were all very close when we were younger, but we lost touch years ago.

I’m hoping Pauline still lives in the Whitley Bay area and I’m hoping she can contact me, or if anyone knows her they might be able to point me in the right direction.

As a child, my mother used to put me in the care of the guard on the train as I travelled up from Gloucester to Newcastle and stayed with a darling aunt in Sycamore Avenue, Whitley Bay, for my six weeks’ holiday, which I loved.

I used to go ice skating opposite the Spanish City when I must have only been about ten-years-old.

My mother was born in Gateshead, my grandpa was a miner, and my nanny and all my aunties lived in the Whitley Bay area.

Nanny Polly Parkinson, who lived in Appletree Gardens, died in the late 1950s or early 1960s.

I think Pauline would be in her mid 60s now.

If anyone can help me they can contact me on email.
