A team of cleaners are celebrating after gaining work-based qualifications.
Nine members of Capita’s Cleaning Service gained a Level 2 NVQ in team leading.
The service, which is delivered through a partnership with North Tyneside Council, is provided to around 80 buildings.
As well as investing in staff training, Capita is also providing staff with new cleaning products, such as microfibre cloths and buckets, to deliver a better standard of clean and more efficient service.
Cleaning manager Michael Garner said: “We’re committed to providing a high quality service as well as offer good value for our customers.
“In support of this, we’re investing in new cleaning technology, however investing in our staff is equally important. I’m delighted that nine members of our team have achieved these qualifications.”
The year-long course was delivered through Darlington-based training company Nordic Pioneer.
