Share to show you care at Christmas

St Oswald’s Hospice is encouraging supporters to show they care this Christmas by taking part in the Share a Card campaign.

Supporters will receive a large Christmas card which enables groups of people – friends, club mates, colleagues and school children – to send festive Christmas messages to one another, whilst showing they care for St Oswald’s too.

The design this year was created by children and young adults who use St Oswald’s services and features a festive snowman, created using the young people’s thumb prints.

Share a Card is really simple.

Instead of buying, writing out, and sending lots of individual cards to friends and colleagues, supporters display Share a Card in a prominent place, and write their seasonal messages inside the large card instead.

The group then gives a donation to St Oswald’s, which helps us to continue providing care for local adults and children with life limiting conditions. It’s a great alternative to the traditional way of sending Christmas cards.”

This year, St Oswald’s also has an e-card alternative, which is aimed at individuals who want to save the hassle of writing and sending individual cards.

The e-cards feature the same design as the Share a Card, and can be purchased online for a £10 donation to the Hospice.

Supporters can then send their card, which will be personalised with their name, by email to friends, family and colleagues.
