But before that, fans will have the chance to attend the premiere showing of the DVD at The Exchange in North Shields.

Sunday for Sammy, unofficially known as the Geordie Command Performance, is a celebration of North East culture staged to raise funds to help the next generation of the region’s performers with training, expenses and equipment.

The recent shows in February had a range of star names and included a crowd-pleasing duet between Joe McElderry and North Shields-born Jersey Boys singer Ryan Molloy performing Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

The DVD will be premiered on Sunday. Tickets, priced £20, are available from Julie Clay on 0191 2531618 – the ticket price includes a copy of the DVD.
