SHOW: Youngsters did us proud

From the rousing opening number of Surfing Whitley Bay, performed by this year’s College Btec band, to the all-cast finale of One in a Million, the excellent and imaginative choice of music and dance from Burradon, Fordley, Greenfields and Hazlewood primary schools was performed to a packed audience with confidence and polish.

Special mention must go to Jake, a young man from Seaton Burn College, who managed the programme, the children and the equipment with great skill and good humour.

Parents, grandparents, teachers and other staff who made this event possible can rightly be proud of all these young people who are true ambassadors for the north west of the borough.
